Eurostars is a funding instrument that supports innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as project partners such as large companies, universities, research organisations, and other types of organisations. It provides funding for international collaborative research and development (R&D) and innovation projects. Through participation, organisations gain access to public funding for international collaborative R&D and innovation projects across all sectors.

Eligibility and Project Requirements

To successfully apply for Eurostars funding, applicants must:

  • define a clear project idea
  • engage in international collaboration by sharing expertise
  • develop products, processes, or services with strong commercialisation potential

Your project consortium must be led by an innovative SME, but may also include other types of organisations such as large companies, universities, and research organisations.

Application Process

Applicants may submit their project proposals for research, development, and innovation between 16 January 2026 and 19 March 2026 (14:00 CET) via the official Eurostars project platform:
https://myeurekaproject.org/

More information about Eurostars-3 – Call 10 is available on the official programme website:

Available Funding

Please note that co-funding from the European Commission is currently in the process of being finalised.

The level of funding your organisation may receive when participating in a project is managed by your national funding body. Funding rules vary by country, and each national authority determines:

  • which organisations are eligible for funding
  • which project activities can be funded
  • the applicable funding rates

If you are from a country participating in Eurostars, you can find information on available funding for your organisation in the “Country information” section of the Eurostars website, or by contacting your national or regional funding body via the contact form on the programme website.

Each national funding body sets a maximum funding amount per project or per project partner. Organisations from countries not participating in Eurostars may still take part by fully self-funding their project costs.
